Highlights
Singapore is a small island at the end of the Malay peninsula and is a multi-ethnic hotpot. The best way to get around is on foot visiting such areas as Chinatown, Arab Street and Little India.
Orchard Road - Singapore's best known shopping, eating and entertainment district.
Sentosa Island - Theme park island aimed mostly at families
Raffles Hotel - Renowned hotel famed for it's Singapore Sling Cocktail (remember to through your monkey nuts on the floor in the upstairs bar!). Also Afternoon Tea.
Night Safari - Next to the Zoo and highly recommended
Singapore Zoo - Includes the weird and wonderful
Singapore River - Boat Quay and Clarke Quay come alive at night with restaurants and bars.
Main travellers routes
The best way of getting about Singapore is by foot although buses and taxis are relatively inexpensive.
Buses to the Malay border (Johor Bahru).
Singapore is also a flight hub for many Asian destinations.

Visas
Visa not required for UK Tourists for stays of up to 14 days. However, an extension of another 14 days can be easily obtained.
Singapore is a very good place to obtain visas for other countries.
